Michu's brother hopes he can help the former Swansea City striker return to his best.

Michu, after his release by Swans, will sign for little Spanish outfit Union Popular de Langreo, where brother Hernan Perez is coach.

He told Radio Marca: "He's had two terrible years. Many in his place would have already hung up his boots. He must get it together and feel like a new player.

"My brother is strong and can return to the top in 3-4 months, after which he may also be called from a club in La Liga.

"He had enquiries but did not want to sign with anyone, not being 100%."
