Marca reports the Supreme Court of Argentina have released Matias Messi, one of Lionel Messi's older brothers, after he was arrested last weekend in the town of Villa Gesell in the province of Buenos Aires.
He was taken into custody for allegedly threatening a driver with a firearm after getting into a car accident.
According to witnesses, the brother of the Barcelona football star had an intense argument with the other driver and then pulled out a firearm, however the police claim that they did not find any weapons inside his truck.
According to the prosecutor of the case Eduardo Elizarraga, Matias is accused of threats aggravated by the commission of firearms, damages and injuries.
Elizarraga added that police did find a pipe that looked like a weapon in the car.
