Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque scored two goals to help his side defeat former club Marconi Stallions 3-1 in a pre-season match.

Brosque hit the target in the 13th and 28th minutes of the clash at a cold Marconi Stadium last night whilst strike partner Mark Bridge scored the other Sky Blues goal in the 33rd minute. Marconi's Sean O'Connell scored with 25 minutes remaining.

Sydney used new goalkeeper Liam Reddy for a half before installing Ivan Necevski in the second term and used nine other substitutions which gave 21 players the chance for some game time.
