Former QPR chief scout Ian Broomfield admits an offer from Arsenal was too good to turn down.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger moved quickly to snap up the veteran talent spotter, who has also been head scout at Leeds United and Aston Villa in the past.
He will work closely with Arsenal scouting supremo Steve Rowley and Dutchman Andries Jonker - Arsenal's new academy boss.
Broomfield said last night: "The opportunity to work for Arsene Wenger at one of Europe's top clubs, like Arsenal, was too good to turn down.
"I appreciated my time at QPR with Harry, but this is an exciting challenge which I'm looking forward to."
