FA chief Sir Trevor Brooking believes the Baggies pair must make their mark in the next two seasons at The Hawthorns or risk missing their chance to crack the Premier League.
“They both got to the European Under-19s finals with England and didn’t quite perform at their best there,” Brooking told the Express & Star.
“I said to that whole group that the next 24 months will decide where they’re going to end up. They could drift down the leagues or they could kick on, so they need to be aware of that.
“They both played in the under-19s tournament in the summer in a team that I got frustrated with because they got knocked out in the semi-final against Greece.”
