Brondby striker Simon Makienok wanted by Crystal Palace

Brondby striker Simon Makienok is a target for Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis.

The Mirror says Palace were keen on landing 6ft 7in striker Makienok before Ian Holloway's October exit from Selhurst Park hot-seat.

And the arrival of new manager Tony Pulis has not put off the Londoners as they look to bolster their strike-force for the relegation battle.

Palace's new sporting director Iain Moody has run the rule over Makienok, 23, with a view to launching a bid in the New Year.

Brondby director Per Rud said: "There is attention from England. It depends on what is put on the table and whether the offer interests Simon."
