Jeremy Brockie admits he's chasing a new contract with North Queensland Fury.
The New Zealand international attacker is keen to stay in Townsville, but conceded it was still up to him to convince coach Ian Ferguson and Fury management that he deserved an extension.
''Hopefully if I keep performing for the Fury something will come along, ideally with the Fury, but I guess my performances will tell that at the end of the day,'' he said. ''If they want me here, I'll stay here.''
Fury coach Ian Ferguson also told the Townsville Bulletin: ''He's a young boy, he's what we're looking for.
''He's got legs, he's got a good engine, gets up and down the park and he's starting to be the player that I thought he was when I first saw him in Wellington colours.''
