Former AC Milan midfielder Cristian Brocchi has jumped to the defence of coach Clarence Seedorf.
Seedorf eased the pressure on himself with victory over Fiorentina lat night.
"Seedorf inherited a difficult situation," Brocchi told Radio Sportiva. "The first person to pay the price is always the Coach when things are not going well.
"I'm not sure whether or not his job is on the line this evening.
"As for the Viola, if they don't believe they can make the Champions League they are very wrong.
"Montella is right to aim high considering the difficult moment Napoli are going through."
