Kirk Broadfoot has been told he can leave Rangers with a decision on his next home likely to be made very soon.
The 28-year old defender, who has been at the club since 2007, was prepared to remain at Ibrox in a bid to help the club climb out of the Third Division but has been told he can depart.
Rangers will terminate Broadfoot's contract this week making him a free agent therefore he will not have to rush to find a new club by the close of the transfer window on Friday.
Some clubs in England are believed to be showing interest in the former St Mirren man who will still be free to sign with a new outfit after August.
