Britton immensely proud to captain Swansea

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton admits he will be extremely honoured to skipper the club again this week.

The 30-year old will take the captain's armband from Ashley Williams for Thursday night's Europa League playoff qualifier second leg against Petrolul Ploiesti and can't wait to again lead the Swans into battle.

"It is something I am very proud of," he said.

"I was fortunate to lead the side out twice against Arsenal last season, but it will be great to lead the side out in European competition because it is new for the club and it means a lot to me."

Swansea have one foot in the Europa League group stage proper following last week's 5-1 win at the Liberty Stadium.
