Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton feels Everton's Ross Barkley can be England's World Cup "wildcard".
Barkley proved the matchwinner in victory over Swansea yesterday.
"People talk about wildcards and players coming in late into the squad," said Britton.
"There will be a lot of players out there thinking if they can have a good four or five months after Christmas then they could sneak on the plane.
"He's one that could do it because he's definitely got the talent and the ability, but it will be down to the England manager to decide whether he's ready for it."
