Swans are now regarded as a blueprint for clubs across Europe to follow.
The midfielder told the Daily Express: "It's amazing for people to use ourselves as a blueprint. I'm sure people weren't saying Swansea were a blueprint for everyone when we were at the Vetch Field playing in front of 2,300 people.
"But you have to give great credit to the board. We're a well-run club, making profits, signing good players and improving year on year. It's understandable other clubs will want to be like us.
"The team and the club keep improving - so let's hope the club can continue in the right direction."
