A British consortium, headed by Englishman Paul Davidson, is to take majority control of Real Mallorca.

A pre-agreement has already been struck and should be formalised in the coming weeks. Mallorca had been controlled by the Spanish businessman Vicente Grande, whose real estate firm, Drac, is experiencing financial difficulties.

Grande will continue as a minority shareholder and chairman of the club for the next five years.
