British Army to take on likes of Neville, Lehmann, Le Tissier and Hamman

The Football Association will celebrate 125 years of British Army football with a charity match in Reading on May 18.

The British Army team, who will be managed by England U21s boss Stuart Pearce, will take on a FA legends line-up at the Madejski Stadium under the guidance of Roy Hodgson.

Included in the legends side will be former Manchester United captain Gary Neville, ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, Southampton great Matt Le Tissier and former Germany international Didi Hamann with more to be announced.

The proceeds of the match will go to military charities and will be incorporated into the FA's 150 year anniversary celebrations.
