Bristol City have completed the capture of Jody Morris from St Johnstone.

The 33-year old midfielder has been signed by former Saints boss Derek McInnes on a one-year deal following around five years at McDiarmid Park and is delighted to be back in English football.

"I'm over the moon to have agreed this deal. After four-and-a-half years working with the gaffer at St Johnstone, I jumped at this chance," the former Chelsea man told City's official website.

"It's the right switch for my career, as well as an opportunity to bring the family back down south.

"I've played at Championship level before and higher, so I'm fully confident in my ability and this is a great move."
