Stoke City midfielder Matt Lund has returned on-loan to Bristol Rovers.

Bristol Rovers have re-signed midfielder Matt Lund on a six-month loan deal from Stoke ahead of the upcoming season.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international made 13 appearances for the Pirates, scoring twice, and hopes to impress again.

"I am looking forward to getting started," he told the club's official website. "I missed the place and I am pleased to be back.

"I spoke to the manager and I really wanted to come back and play, and hopefully we can keep the run of form we had towards the end of last season."
