Charlie Colkett has heaped praise on a pair of fellow Chelsea youngsters who are also impressing out on loan.
The 20-year-old midfielder enjoyed a dream first start for Bristol Rovers by scoring a late winner after producing an assist as they defeated Northampton Town 3-2 in League One at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday.
Colkett's Blues colleague Jay Clarke-Salter was an unused sub but performed well in his debut for the Pirates against Sheffield United on Tuesday.
"He was a bit surprised to get his debut, but you can see why he deserved it because he was outstanding in the game he played," he told BRFC TV.
"Good on him, he is really looking forward to more games."
While at nearby Bristol City, Chelsea talent Tammy Abraham is taking the Championship by storm with eight goals in his first 11 league outings.
"He's doing great. We actually met up the other day to go for some food," Colkett added of the striker.
"We spoke about it. I can give him stick because I'm getting some winners but he's great. He's doing what he's been doing over the last few years at the development stages.
"He's proving how good most of our young players are. We just need that opportunity really."
And with 36 Chelsea players out on loan around Europe (Wallace is in Brazil with Gremio and Joao Rodriguez is in Colombia with Santa Fe), there is always a little bit of repartee between the Blues loan stars.
"There's a little WhatsApp group," said Colkett.
"We get some feedback from the club but we have some banter in there as well."
