Bristol City's McAllister hopes for Scotland chance

Bristol City defender Jamie McAllister hopes to establish himself in the Scotland squad following his call-up for the Norway clash. "It's really great news and I was happy when I received the call on Wednesday," said McAllister.

"It's something I've been striving for and now it's happened, so it's up to me to take the chance.

"I never stopped believing I could get back into the national side. It's one step in the door and hopefully now I can do really well and establish myself."

The 30-year-old left-back won his only cap in a 4-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in 2004.
