Bristol City keeper James not giving up on England

Bristol City goalkeeper David James hasn't given up on playing again for England.

The former Liverpool and Aston Villa goalkeeper has not played for his country since the 4-1 World Cup defeat to Germany in South Africa.

James, 40, who faces former England boss Eriksson’s in-form Leicester City tonight, said: “I genuinely live in hope. If I got to 54 caps, I’d be hoping for a 55th. I still have a hunger for success and that fire in my belly.

“I do have an eye on coaching and management and I want to take my coaching badges and move into that side of the game when I finish playing. But that is still very much in the future. At the moment, my focus is on playing.”
