Bristol City's Brazilian goalkeeper Adrian Basso admits he had great sympathy for Tottenham's Heurelho Gomes as he battled to cope in his first days in the Premiership.
Basso said: "I felt for him, and now I am so pleased it is starting to go well. I don't know him as a person but I'm very proud as another Brazilian goalkeeper that he is starting to do well and show he can be one of the best in this country.
"I think he was born in a difficult situation and has achieved so many things in his life already and that is something to respect."
