Bristol City midfielder Marlon Pack says his teammates should be proud of their effort against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

The Robins pushed City all the way in their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg clash but eventually lost 5-3 on aggregate.

"We can all be pleased with our effort and endeavour. We pushed all the way and stuck to our guns," said Pack.

"We didn't change for them and we had chances. We were unlucky not to get anything but it shows our nature that we were still going in the 95th minute.

"We did ride our luck at times but we continued to play and tried to get at them. I'm proud of the boys and proud to be part of this team. Hopefully we can take this into the league now and keep it going."
