Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine is on the verge of a first team return after suffering an ankle injury in late September.
The 23-year old got through a reserve match against Reading unscathed this week and it looks almost certain that he will be right for senior duties next week.
"Liam played the full 90 minutes and showed us what we wanted to see," Robins assistant Keith Millen told the Evening Post.
"There were no problems with his injury, which was good and we were also pleased with his fitness.
"Liam is in good shape and he will definitely be in contention for the West Brom game.
"We will probably give him another run-out when we play Southampton at their Marchwood training ground next Monday, just to improve his sharpness."
