Brisbane Roar captain Craig Moore says he is uncertain about a decision made by referee Alan Milliner on Saturday night.
Moore was penalised for a challenge on Gold Coast United skipper Jason Culina in the second half of the match that ended 3-2 (to Gold Coast) but believes there was nothing in it.
"I didn't touch him - he knew there was no contact," Moore said.
Moore was on a yellow car at the time and believes that if the referee really thought it was a foul then he should have been sent off.
This however would have created problems for Culina as Moore believes under the new rule put in place to stamp out diving, he may have been booked on video evidence.
"If the referee thought that was a foul, it should have been a yellow card . . . they were breaking," Moore added.
"I was already on a yellow card which meant I would have been sent off.
"That meant it would have got looked at, which also meant they would have seen there was no contact. They would have acted on Jason Culina."
The A-League this season introduced a new rule to sanction players believed to be 'simulating' trying to win free-kicks, penalties and having opponents sent off but on this occasion, there seems to be a grey area on the matter.
