Brisbane Roar's Robbie Kruse believes his side must win against Wellington Phoenix in Round 3.
The Roar let a two-goal lead against Melbourne Victory slip on Saturday with the match ending in a draw following on from their first-round loss to Gold Coast United.
Kruse has identified the Phoenix clash at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday as a must-win after the club has taken just one point from the opening two rounds.
"It's a massive game for us, and nothing less than three points will be a good result for us," the 20-year-old said.
"We need to win this game to push our way back up the ladder and maybe get a bit of a run going.
"We'd rather have six points on the board already, but it's a long season. Teams are going to go on a run."
The Roar will be sweating on the fitness of hard man Danny Tiatto who was substituted just prior to half-time with a back/hamstring complaint.
The 36-year old was instrumental in the first 45 minutes against the Victory, scoring a brilliant goal, and his toughness was missed in midfield after his departure from the game.
