Brisbane's Cernak confident ahead of Adelaide clash

Brisbane Roar youngster Isaka Cernak says the team is taking confidence into this weekend's clash with bogey club Adelaide United. The Roar have beaten the Reds just twice in thirteen meetings and not once in their last five encounters but after an improved performance against Newcastle on Friday night, Cernak is confident of a good showing at Hindmarsh Stadium.

"Finally we might be able to get on a roll," the 20-year-old said.

"We're happy that we finally got a point but disappointed we didn't get more from it. But we think we can go on from there and improve.

"We're pretty confident coming into it but it's a big game for us."

Cernak admitted it had been tough to get points away to Adelaide but insisted this was good motivation to go there get the job done.

"Away in Adelaide has always been tough for us but that's part of the challenge and makes us want it more when we go there," he added.

"So hopefully we'll get one up on them this time."

Brisbane's match against Adelaide kicks off at 7pm (AEST) Friday and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2.
