A-League club Brisbane Roar have decided to continue playing their home games at Suncorp Stadium.
Despite falling crowd numbers last season, Roar officials are confident the club can attract average crowds of around 11,000 from next term and to be commercially viable at Suncorp.
There was talk that the Roar may shift home games to their training venue, Ballymore Stadium, 3 kilometres north of Brisbane after they attracted an average of just 8,651 to their home games but chief executive Peter McLennan confirmed the club would remain at the more expensive Suncorp.
"We've got to be commercially viable and the best thing for this club going forward is to stay at Suncorp Stadium," McLennan said.
"The facilities at Ballymore are fantastic for training and for us to run our day-to-day operations."
