Brisbane Roar staying put at Suncorp

Suncorp Stadium will remain the home of the Brisbane Roar.

Despite calls to shift home games to their training base at Ballymore because of poor crowds, the Roar will stay at the 52,000-capacity Suncorp, hopefully under a new agreement.

"Our supporters want us there long-term and they've made that well known," Roar chief executive Peter McLennan said.

"It's in the interest of both parties to come to an agreement and that's what we're currently working on ... I don't see us being anywhere else but Suncorp Stadium."

Even though the club will remain at Suncorp, McLennan says the vision is to eventually move to a home of their own.

"The ultimate vision for the club is to have our own asset and clubhouse so we can communicate with our fans not only on game day," McLennan added.
