Brisbane Roar star Broich eyeing Japan move

Brisbane Roar star Thomas Broich has suggested he may move to Japan when his playing days in Australia are done.

The 31-year old German midfielder arrived at the Roar in May 2010 and has been arguably the best import the A-League has seen since its inception in 2005 but is keen to experience something else when his playing days in Brisbane are over.

"I'm pretty happy with the Roar - I'd be happy to stay for five more years - I love the style of football," Broich told the ABC.

"I have a year left on my contract. After that ... another experience for me in Asia would be awesome."

Prior to him joining the Roar, Broich spent time with homeland clubs SV Wacker Burghausen, Borussia Monchengladbach, FC Koln and FC Nuremberg.
