Brisbane Roar's van Dijk to consider future

Brisbane Roar striker Sergio van Dijk admits he has to think about his immediate playing future but says he is likely to remain with the club.

The 27-year old Dutchman has been linked with several clubs over the past few days including incoming A-League franchise Melbourne Heart as well as Sydney FC and North Queensland Fury as he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Although he wants to make sure whatever move he makes, if any, is the best for him, van Dijk says he loves life in Brisbane and could easily stay put with the Roar.

"I have a family now and my family's enjoying it here and the lifestyle is good, so I'm really, really happy here," he said.

"But it's the total package of any offer I have to look at and then I'll make my decision.

"But definitely Brisbane has some really good points to stay here."

van Dijk is Brisbane's all-time leading goalscorer despite the fact he only joined the club last year and should he score against the Wellington Phoenix, will be the first Roar player to 20 goals.
