Brisbane Roar's DeVere attracting interest from Korea

Brisbane Roar centre-half Luke DeVere is being linked with a lucrative move to Korea's K-League.

The 21-year old, who has been one of the major contributing factors in the Roar's brilliant season so far, is the latest Australian central defender to attract attention from Asia.

DeVere is an Australian U20 and U23 international and has made over 60 appearances in the A-League with the Roar, developing into one of the competition's premier defenders.

Reports suggest that DeVere is set to sign a lucrative three-year deal with Gyeongnam FC.

Adelaide United's Iain Fyfe recently signed a $300,000 deal with Busan I'Park, following in the footsteps of former Reds star Sasa Ognenovski, who was crowned Asia's Player of the Year for his successes in guiding Seongnam Ilhwa to the Asian Champions League title.

Adelaide's Robert Cornthwaite is also reportedly a target for clubs in Korea as Asian outfits continue to go after Australian players.
