Brisbane Roar to officially announce Reinaldo departure

Brazilian striker Reinaldo will leave Brisbane Roar after signing a three-year deal with Qatari club Al-Ahli.

The A-League leaders will announce today that the 26-year old will not play another match for the club after five years of service and 92 games which yielded 22 goals.

Reinaldo told The Courier-Mail that it was a sad time for him but said it was a deal too good to pass up.

"In football, you can't miss out on an opportunity like this," said the Australian citizen.

"The boys made me cry . . . it was really sad. It's not like I've been here for five days, it's been five years.

"My dream was to win the A-League championship, but this is such a good deal for me and my family."

An official announcement will be made by the club later today.
