Celtic FC has expressed its appreciation of Brisbane Roar's offer to allow the visitors to use the home team dressing room for the Translink Cup game on 12 July.

A spokesman for Celtic FC said the gesture by Roar coach, Frank Farina to offer the home dressing room to The Hoops was "most generous".

"We appreciate as the Stadium's home football tenant Brisbane Roar is entitled to the number one dressing room," said the spokesman.

"We did not seek or request this. The offer came out of the blue from the Roar and we have offered our thanks.

"This is yet another sign that both teams intend playing the Translink Cup game in the right spirit. This is what a 'friendly' is all about."
