Brisbane Roar new boy Barbarouses set to take on Phoenix

Brisbane Roar recruit Kosta Barbarouses is keen for tomorrow night's encounter with his old club Wellington Phoenix to get underway.

The 20-year old Wellington native joined the Roar during the off-season and is relishing his change of environment, getting immediate game time after experiencing just six starts in three seasons at Westpac Stadium.

"I've been looking forward to getting game-time each week more than anything, but this will be a special game for me," Barbarouses told The Dominion Post.

"I'm looking forward to playing against the Phoenix, I've got a few good friends in the team."

He also said that the new style the Roar is playing under Ange Postecoglou is very positive and he admitted that the weather in Brisbane was a great change from what he is used to in Wellington.

"We're playing a good style and we've done it quite well in the first two games, but I think we can improve on that and do things even better," he added.

"I've learned a few new things here already.

"I'm loving it at the moment, it's a really nice city and different climate-wise. We got 28 degrees the other day ... and there's no wind. Amazing."
