Brisbane Roar make amendments to upcoming fixtures

Brisbane Roar have made two amendments to their draw for upcoming fixtures.

Firstly, the Roar's match against the Central Coast Mariners scheduled for Wednesday, November 24 at Bluetongue Stadium has been rescheduled to Sunday, November 28 at the same venue.

The new kick-off time for the match is 3pm (AEST).

The fixture has been moved to accommodate the marquee match between Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy and Hyundai A-League club Newcastle Jets, to be played in Newcastle on Saturday November 27 at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

In consultation with Football Federation Australia, Brisbane Roar has willingly agreed to the change of fixtures.

Secondly, the change in the game against the Central Coast Mariners has also opened up an opportunity for Brisbane to reschedule its December 8 fixture against Perth Glory at Ballymore Stadium.

This match has now been brought forward to Wednesday, November 24 at Suncorp Stadium at 8pm (AEST).

This rescheduling of this match ensures there is no longer a clash with the U2 concert to be held in Brisbane on December 8, giving fans the opportunity to attend both events.

Brisbane Roar would like to acknowledge the understanding and assistance of Queensland Rugby Union for accommodating the change of venue at such late notice.

"I would like to apologise to any of our fans who have already made arrangements around the two rescheduled fixtures," Brisbane CEO Peter McLennan said.

"We understand that changing fixtures is not ideal at this stage of the season, but we believe the outcome is beneficial to all parties.

"While we strongly believe we would have lost nothing by playing the fixture at Ballymore Stadium, our rich vein of form at Suncorp Stadium can only be a positive for such a crucial match at this juncture of the season."

Revised fixtures for November and December:

November 14: Melbourne Heart v Brisbane Roar (AAMI Park at 4pm) November 17:Newcastle Jets v Brisbane Roar (EnergyAustralia Stadium at 6.30pm) November 20:Brisbane Roar v North Queensland Fury (Suncorp Stadium at 8.15pm) November 24:Brisbane Roar v Perth Glory (Suncorp Stadium at 8pm) November 28:Central Coast Mariners v Brisbane Roar (Bluetongue Stadium at 3pm) December 3:Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar (AAMI Park at 7pm) December 12:Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar (Sydney Football Stadium at 4pm) December 18:North Queensland Fury v Brisbane Roar (Dairy Farmers Stadium at 8.15pm) December 26:Brisbane Roar v Gold Coast United (Suncorp Stadium at 6.15pm)
