Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou is keen to bring North Queensland Fury striker David Williams to the club.
The Roar boss is a big fan of 22-year old Williams and will pursue the talented youngster if the Fury happens to fold.
The Townsville club are no certainties to be around next season as they struggle to come up with enough resources in the way of money to go on out on their own and become a self-reliant entity.
If that happens to be the case, the Roar will go after Williams who says he would be keen to return to Brisbane, where he played two matches before embarking on his journey to Denmark.
"I'd like to be a part of what they're building," he said.
"There are also my family and friends in Brisbane, so that would also play a part in my decision if the Fury aren't around anymore."
Williams has scored eight goals for the Fury over the past few seasons and has been one of the club's more consistent performers this term as they have struggled along at the foot of the table.
