Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou admits he was happy to come away with another win in what he described as a weird game on the Gold Coast last night.

The Roar took the undefeated streak to 24 matches with a 2-1 win over a courageous North Queensland Fury outfit but it was the atmosphere, or lack thereof, and fact that the match was played on neutral territory which forced the comments from Postecoglou.

"We got the job done, but it was a weird night - Tuesday night, not many people here, two sides playing away from home," Postecoglou said.

"The boys fell into that kind of mode as well, the intensity wasn't there.

"It was almost like a training run, it wasn't smooth but we got the job done, got the three points and another win."

A paltry 1,003 fans, the worst crowd in A-League history, turned up for the rescheduled Week 26 fixture at Skilled Park as Fury's Dairy Farmers Stadium was unplayable due to the floods in North Queensland and surrounding areas.

Mitch Nichols opened the scoring for the Roar in the 14th minute before they skipped to a two-goal lead just prior to the half-hour mark when Henrique netted his first of the season.

The determined Fury side hit back in the 65th minute through a fortuitous Andre Kilian goal but it wasn't enough as the Roar went 11 points clear at the top of the table.
