League leaders Brisbane Roar have confirmed the signing of promising defender Matthew Jurman from Sydney FC.
The 21-year old has signed a two-year deal with the Roar starting from next season after impressing with his performances in the heart of the Sky blues defence in recent times.
Jurman, who has appeared seven times for Sydney this term, has been brought into the Brisbane squad to replace departed young gun Luke DeVere and the club is delighted with the signing.
"I know Matt well, I coached him at junior international level and I've watched him very closely this season," coach Ange Postecoglou said.
"Once Luke left I obviously wanted a replacement and I wanted young Australian centre-back, Matt was the ideal candidate.
"He's shown he's ready to play at a consistent level and we're looking forward to the opportunity to help develop him further."
