Brisbane Roar coach Frank Farina has been handed a one match sideline ban and could face further sanctions following an incident at Suncorp Stadium yesterday.
The former Socceroos boss was sent to the stands late in the Roar's 1-1 draw with Wellington Phoenix after substitute Tommy Oar was sent off for receiving his second yellow card within two minutes.
Farina's over-the-top protest forced referee Chris Beath to eject him from his place on the sidelines and will now spend one match away from his usual coaching position.
The Roar could also face further punishment from Football Federation Australia for picking up seven yellow and one red card during the match.
