Brisbane Roar agree to terminate Kruse contract

Brisbane Roar announces it has agreed to terminate the short-term contract of Robbie Kruse. The Roar have terminated Kruse's contract by mutual consent to allow him to commence a full-time contract with Melbourne Victory.

Kruse had been signed as injury cover for midfielder Massimo Murdocca, who fractured his leg just prior to the start of the Hyundai A-League 2009/10 season.

"Melbourne have tabled a very good offer to Robbie that unfortunately we were unable to match," Brisbane Roar CEO Peter McLennan said.

"The club wishes Robbie all the very best at Melbourne and would like to thank him for his contribution in his three seasons with the Roar."

No decision has been made on signing further injury replacement players in the immediate future.
