Brisbane Roar defender Shane Stefanutto could be out for up to six weeks after re-injuring his hamstring yesterday.

The 30-year old returned to the Roar line-up for the 2-1 win over Melbourne Heart at AAMI Park after missing four matches with the injury he sustained late in the October 20 win over Central Coast Mariners.

However, he lasted just 45 minutes and it turns out he has done further damage to his hamstring, indicating that he was rushed back into the side.

During the week, the former North Queensland Fury man was rated as unavailable on Brisbane’s team sheet for the Heart game but emerged as a starter. He will now have to watch on for at least a month as the Roar continue to dominate the A-League.
