Brisbane coach Farina not complaining about injuries

Brisbane Roar coach Frank Farina is not letting the amount of injured players piling up in the medical room get to him.

Following the brilliant 3-0 away win over the Newcastle Jets on Saturday, Brisbane will go into this weekend's clash with Perth Glory missing seven first team players - Danny Tiatto, Michael Zullo, Matt McKay, Massimo Murdocca, Andrew Packer (injured), Luke DeVere, Mitch Nichols and Tommy Oar (national under-20 commitments) - making Farina's job hard, but he seems to be at ease with the challenge.

"There's a few headaches, but you can't complain," Farina said.

"Our supporters should know the spirit in the squad is fantastic and every player is stepping up to the mark.

"We've copped a fair bit of flack from some commentators who say we've been limping along and I think that's been unfair. We're in third place, a better position than where we were at this stage during the previous two seasons.

"Gold Coast and ourselves are the only clubs to have lost only one game so far this season."

Farina added that he was now comfortable with the teams form and how the season is beginning to pan out for the Roar.

"Considering there has been a bit of adversity, we're doing OK," he added.

"We're sitting third, I'll take that right now.

"There's some positives . . . Reinaldo is back, and that's like having a new signing in the team. We didn't expect Josh (McClougan) to play 78 minutes last week, but he did it well and Charlie Miller was wonderful for us."

Brisbane host Perth Glory at Suncorp Stadium this Sunday with kick-off at 5:00pm.
