Brisbane coach Farina to give chance to youngsters

Brisbane Roar coach Frank Farina will give his young players a chance in their pre-season hit-out on Sunday against North Queensland Fury.

Nine Roar first team players are unavailable due to international duty, injuries and suspension so Farina will use the trip as a learning curb for his youngsters and as a fitness run for older players.

"You'd like to have everyone on board, obviously," he said. "I hope by August 8, we've got pretty much everyone on deck, apart from Massimo (Murdocca - broken leg).

"Obviously it's an opportunity for some to push their claims," Farina added.

"But as I said, we've had a few problems with niggly little injuries so hopefully we can get those players like Danny (Tiatto), Charlie (Miller) and Michael (Zullo) some game time on the weekend."
