Brighton record signing Alireza Jahanbakhsh has revealed Iran boss Carlos Queiroz is delighted he is playing in the Premier League.

Jahanabakhsh, who signed from Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar, scored for Iran in their 2-1 friendly win over Bolivia.

"Our manager loves the performance of the players playing abroad because of the facilities, the experience, the professionalism," he said.

"It's a bit different to the Dutch league. It is faster, more quality and the manager is asking me different things to what I'm used to.

"But it is a big stage for me and I have shown already I can adapt myself to any situation possible."
