Brighton take Man City duo on loan

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Manchester City pair Abdul Razak and Gai Assulin on loan.

19-year old midfielder Ivorian Razak, who has already had a loan stint with Portsmouth this season, has joined for the remainder of the season whilst 20-year old Israeli Assulin has arrived initially for a month with the option for an extension.

"Abdul is the type of midfielder I have wanted to bring into the squad for some time," Seagulls manager Poyet told the club's official website.

"He is someone we have been aware of for a while.

"Gai is technically very capable, and has great ability on the ball.

"He showed great potential as an outstanding young talent under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona - I hope he can realise some of that potential here at Brighton."
