Brighton have snapped up Real Madrid striker Jack Harper.

Harper will today call time on his Real Madrid dream by signing for Brighton, says the Daily Mail.

Faced with the prospect of being sent out to a lower league club on loan, Harper, who still had two years of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu to run, considered offers from other sides in Spain and Italy but has opted for Chris Hughton's Brighton.

Harper, who was born in Spain after his Scottish parents moved there from Barrhead, joined Madrid's youth system aged 13.
