Brighton record signing Jurgen Locadia: I can handle price-tag

Brighton's record signing Jurgen Locadia says he can handle his price-tag.

The former PSV Eindhoven striker signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Seagulls and cannot wait to make his Premier League bow for the club.

He said, “I don't really think about it [the price tag]. That's something between the two clubs and all I can do is show my qualities every day.

“It's a different kind of pressure here. In PSV, they expect you to play for the title and at Brighton they expect you to stay in the Premier League. It's a new experience for me.

“I am someone who has always enjoyed watching football. I have always preferred to watch the Premier League and it's a dream to play here.

“I'm very happy to sit here and show the world that I have signed for Brighton."

Locadia spoke about his burning desire to score goals and highlighted the attributes he feels he can bring to the side.

“I think I will bring a lot of power and strength. I can shoot with both feet, and I am a goalscorer that likes to score goals and I won't stop. Those are my qualities."
