Brighton News: Izzy Brown frustrated after Huddersfield defeat; Hughton explains Knockaert absence

Brighton midfielder Izzy Brown admitted frustration after defeat at Huddersfield.

Steve Mounie's brace secured all three points for the Terriers, as Brown came back to Yorkshire after winning promotion to the Premier League with David Wagner's side last season.

He said, "To come back here was a great feeling, but the result wasn't anything that we wanted. We were very disappointed in the changing room.

“I was trying to give my team-mates tips before the game on who I think will play and how they press, but it's tough to play against Huddersfield because they are so in your face and give you no time on the ball.

“It's nice that the fans still think highly of me, and we had a great season together winning the play-offs at Wembley. It was an amazing achievement."

Meanwhile, Seagulls boss Chris Hughton explained dropping Anthony Knockaert for the game.

Hughton said of Knockaert: “He has played a lot of games.

“We have a squad at the moment which is very competitive and we are going to have to use them over a lot of hard games."
