Brighton have made a move for Derby County goalkeeper Scott Carson.
The Mirror says Brighton have made an enquiry for Carson which boss Frank Lampard has firmly knocked back.
Former England keeper Carson, 32, impressed last season under Lampard's predecessor Gary Rowett.
The shot-stopper, capped four times by England, claimed to have hit his best ever form as he helped Derby into the play-offs.
It has sparked interest from Premier League Brighton but Carson is under contract until 2020 at Pride Park.
