Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross was delighted with his brace in victory over West Brom.
He scored the Seagulls' first top-flight since Gordon Smith netted 34-and-a-half years ago.
Gross said: “First time and first Premier League goal for Brighton, first win for us - it was a big day and game for us, we trained very hard and we deserved to win today.
“I'm very happy for my goal. I didn't see it very clearly, there were some people in front of me, but I was happy that it was in so I could celebrate.
“It was perfect that we scored a second goal and it was perfect for us that we scored a third too.
“We train very hard and we want to earn something. In the last games we felt like we could win but we didn't so it was very important we could get the win and three points."
