Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt would welcome a move to Sunderland.
Crystal Palace saw a £1.75million offer for the 24-year-old rejected last summer.
Bridcutt is quoted by the Sunderland Echo: "If you are doing well you are always going to get interest from other clubs and as a player that's what you want.
"You want to be performing and for other clubs to notice that.
"For me it's just a case of getting back in the team and performing and trying to do the best I can for Brighton.
"I have always said that I want to be a Premier League player and the only way I am going to do that is by performing.
"It's going to be even better if I can do it with Brighton but if there is an opportunity for me to do it with another club it's going to be hard for me to turn it down.
"But as long as I'm performing you are always going to have that interest from other clubs."
